About

My name is Chris Canning and I own the business. My involvement in building and repair goes back more than 30 years. I'm a qualified Cabinetmaker but have also worked for long periods as a Boilermaker an Industrial Maintenance Fitter and a Project Manager. During this time I gained the many skills necessary to run a successful handyman service so I decided to form Handyman in Logan because this is where I live and it is what I really enjoy doing.

I have found that one of the most important aspects of this business is good communication between parties and reliability no matter how big or small the job is, from the initial enquiry to the completion of the job.

We all want to have a happy experience and we all want to get the job done as well as possible. Maintaining and building on a good reputation is very important to me as a business because you are only as good as your last job, so as an operation that thrives on good referrals I try my very best to qualify for them.

My pricing is very competitive because there is no marking up of materials. Most of the time I supply them at cost except for a small percentage to cover my expenses sourcing them and gathering them. As a handyman my overheads are not high and I don't need to pay a lot of staff so the pricing reflects this. My rates are in the medium range of the Australian market for handymen. You will find cheaper and you will find dearer but I don't think you will find better because it all about being personally satisfied that I am delivering work at the highest standard in my chosen field.

I do keep my standards high and I know what level of service my customers expect . All work performed by myself is guaranteed and in the event that something needs to be addressed after completion or anything is not what it should be or agreed upon it will be rectified free of charge.
